UNPLUG is operated by Upper Room Ventures Inc. ("UNPLUG", "we", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act ("PIPEDA").
1. Who We Are
Upper Room Ventures Inc., a federally incorporated Canadian company headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta. We are the data controller for personal information collected through the UNPLUG service.
2. What We Collect
2.1 Account information
Name, email, date of birth, profile photo, and your chosen interests, vibe, and dietary preferences.
2.2 Verification information
Government-issued ID, a real-time selfie, and phone number, processed by our verification provider.
2.3 Activity
Matches, attended nights, ratings, dropouts, host status, and content you submit.
2.4 Technical
Device type, IP address, session logs, and analytics events necessary for operating and securing the service.
3. How We Use Your Information
To verify identity, group you to tables, manage reservations and payments, send transactional notifications, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the service. We do not sell personal information.
4. Sharing
We share information only with: (a) other members at your table on the night of the event; (b) the venue hosting your night, limited to first name and reservation details; (c) trusted processors for payment, identity verification, email, and hosting, bound by data-processing agreements; (d) law enforcement when legally compelled.
